Ideal for gardeners who enjoy watching roots and new growth develop. Photos show examples, and we cannot accommodate requests for specific varieties.

 

Care Tips

Light: Keep cuttings in bright, indirect light while roots develop. Acclimate established plants gradually to the light suited to each variety.

Rooting: Let any fresh cut surfaces dry and callus before placing them in a porous rooting mix. Avoid burying fleshy leaves.

Water: Use moisture sparingly while cuttings establish; never leave the mix soggy. Once rooted, allow the mix to dry to the level appropriate for each plant before watering again.

Soil: Use a clean, freely draining succulent rooting mix.

Potting: Choose containers with drainage holes. Rooting speed varies with the cutting and conditions.

Temperature: Keep frost-free with good airflow, protected from intense heat and cold drafts.

    To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

    Allow the soil to dry to the level recommended in the Care Tips above before watering again. Always drain excess water.

     

    Weather Conditions

    • When ordering, be mindful that living succulents can freeze. If you live in an area that is below 40°F, please consider purchasing plant until the weather is more suitable.
