Golden Callisia: A Little Cascade of Sunshine
Golden Callisia (Callisia repens ‘Golden’) brings a bright yellow-green glow to a small planter. Its fine stems and tiny leaves form a soft, trailing cushion of foliage.
- 💛 Golden-green leaves brighten a sheltered display
- 🌿 Fine trailing stems spill gently over pot edges
- 🪴 Small-scale foliage suits compact baskets and planters
- ✂️ Pinch-friendly growth can be shaped for a fuller look
Choose Golden Callisia for a bright spot with filtered light and regular moisture. Its fresh color makes a lovely companion to deeper green foliage plants.
Care Tips
Light: Bright, filtered light or gentle shade. Protect from harsh direct sun.
Water: Allow only slight drying at the surface between waterings. Keep evenly moist without waterlogging, and reduce watering when growth slows.
Soil: Use a light, well-draining houseplant mix.
Potting: Use a pot with drainage holes and avoid an oversized container that stays wet too long.
Temperature: Keep warm and frost-free, preferably above 50°F (10°C).
Humidity: Provide good airflow and avoid damp, stagnant conditions.
Pruning: Pinch stem tips or trim long growth to maintain a full, compact pot.
