This is a beautiful epiphytic orchid native to the warm, humid forests of Peninsular Thailand and Malaysia. It has slender, often pendulous stems and is valued for its unique and colorful flowers.
- Light: Bright, indirect light is best for good flowering. Protect it from direct, harsh midday sun.
- Temperature: 68-86°F (20-30°C). It thrives in warm, intermediate conditions. Keep it protected from cold and temperatures below the acceptable range.
- Humidity: Moderate to High (50-70%). Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
- Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the potting medium to dry slightly before watering again. Reduce frequency in winter, but do not let the roots dry out completely. Use a well-drained, airy medium like bark.

The plant is named for its beautiful blooms, which are typically white and uniquely striped with pink, or reddish markings on the segments and lip. It is primarily grown for this striking floral display and can bloom multiple times a year under ideal conditions.
