Sensor Type ＋
- 5" Sensor — Senses moisture at the surface. Best for beds 8" deep or less with shallow-rooted crops.
- 9" Sensor — Adjustable to depths up to 9". Better for deeper beds and more dynamic moisture control.
- 5" + 9" Dual Sensor — Two sensing depths working in tandem for the most precise moisture response.
Calibration Type ＋
- Standard — Ships as-is from Blumat. You dial in moisture yourself. Includes 6" of 3mm tubing (5" sensor) or 2 ft (9" sensor).
- Preset — Pre-calibrated at the factory. Just insert and go. Includes locking adjustment cap, 3mm union, and adjustment key.

What You'll Also Need ＋
This kit covers everything inside the bed. To complete your system you'll also need an 8mm supply line and a water source:
- 8mm Supply Line — runs from your water source to the sensor. See our 8mm SuperFlex Supply Line Kits.
- Gravity Reservoir — our complete 5-Gallon Deluxe Bucket Kit, or use our 8mm Bulkhead Fittings with any container of your choosing.
- Pressurized Source (hose bib or pump) — requires a Pressure Reducer to bring pressure down to the safe Blumat range of 7–15 PSI.
How It Works ＋
The Blumat sensor reads soil moisture and controls water flow through the BluSoak drip tape. As the bed dries, the sensor opens and water flows. When moisture is restored, it closes automatically.
No timers, no electricity, no programming. Works with both gravity and pressurized water sources.
