Watering

Allow the soil to dry out partially between waterings, ensuring that the roots don't sit in water. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, but avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot.

Light

Provide bright, indirect light for Hoya fungii, as direct sunlight can scorch its leaves. Place it near a window where it receives filtered sunlight or use artificial grow lights.

Temperature

Keep Hoya fungii in a warm environment, ideally between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Avoid sudden temperature drops and drafts, which can stress the plant.

Soil Mix

Use a well-draining, porous soil mix for Hoya fungii, such as a blend of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark. This mixture allows adequate airflow to the roots and prevents waterlogging.

Humidity

Hoya fungii thrives in high humidity levels, ideally around 60-70%. You can increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly or placing the plant on a humidity tray filled with water and pebbles.

Fertilizer

Feed Hoya fungii with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength during the growing season (spring and summer). Apply the fertilizer once a month to provide essential nutrients for healthy growth.

Toxicity

Like many other Hoyas, Hoya fungii is considered mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep it out of reach of curious pets and children to avoid any potential harm.
