Super Starts microcloning grows plants and cuttings on a medium of sugar and agar, making thousands of rooted cuttings without mother plants while saving space and lighting. The jars and tubs produce dozens of plants every few weeks.
The starter kit provides prepared tubes, tools and instructions for introducing plants into tissue culture in as little as 20 minutes, and leads into a full tissue-culture kit.

Tiny cuttings absorb sugar, nutrients and hormones directly through their surface. Sugar provides an energy source in place of bright light. In the self-contained vessels, hormones in the medium encourage branching and new plant production while keeping the plants small, saving time, light and money. Preservatives in the medium help reduce the possibility of mold. New branches and nodes provide the foundation of the Microclone grow room and sources of thousands of cuttings.
How to use
- Trim limb tips from your strongest plants.
- Place them in tubes with prepared liquid rooting medium.
- Transfer the cuttings from the plant-tissue cloning tubes directly into rooting plugs.
Other supplies required
A HEPA air filter and a clean grow room with a fluorescent-lighted shelf, such as compact fluorescent lighting or LED lighting at 6 W per square foot, are required separately.
