Aloe plicatilis is called “Fan Aloe” forms like a small tree with its fan-like leaf shape and grey stems. As the plant matures you can expect it to reach up to around 2.4 m (12ft) tall and about 1.8 m (6ft) in diameter. The plant is best known for the green leaves that grow upwards. 

Flowering: Flowers are red

Watering and Feeding: This succulent type needs typical watering as other succulents. The watering method is very important to keep your Aloe healthy. It should not sit on the water, and an excess amount of water should be avoided. The best way of watering is soak and dry method for Aloe plicatilis “Fan Aloe”. Yet, the succulent should be controlled to avoid overwatering. Fertilizer can be used in spring and summer only.

Soil: The best soil for your succulent is a fast-draining soil mix.

Hardiness: Does not handle cold well

Propagation: Best propagated by stem cuttings and seeds
