Nostrano Del Brenta Seeds

Nostrano del Brenta is a remarkable heirloom  wrapper variety from the Brenta Valley of Northern Italy. The plant is a vigorous grower that reaches a height of 5 feet to the crows foot. It produces large leaves 24 inches long and 18-20 inches wide, with an average of 18 leaves per plant. Maturity is reached in 60-65 days. Often color curing to deep maduro or oscuro wrappers, both with a mild taste and aroma. There is an Italian commercial cigar named, "Nostrano del Brenta," made from this variety.

There were 3 sub-varieties: Cuchetto, Avanino (little Havana) and Avanone (Campesano). All three of these were lost forever during the 1960s. Only a hybrid variant, known specifically as "Nostrano Gentile" is still cultivated. This is that variety.
